Legal Associate – Property Law (UK Real Estate)

Req ID: CK-2026-0002Posted August 30, 2026
We are hiring a Legal Associate to join our client's Islamabad office. Our client is an international company with offices in the UK and Islamabad, providing legal support services to UK law firms and corporates operating in the property law sector. In this role, you will support UK based property law clients with title conveyancing, due diligence, post-completion transaction work, and related quasi-legal processes across the real estate sector. You will work directly with UK solicitors and case handlers. This role is designed as a genuine entry point into UK legal services. It is not intended for someone who is already established in a senior legal role. It is best suited to recent LLB graduates who want structured, long-term exposure to how UK conveyancing actually operates, rather than a short stopover between other legal positions.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct title due diligence on UK property transactions, including reviewing title deeds, registers, and related legal documentation with precision.
- Manage post-completion conveyancing process and formalities, including Land Registry submissions and compliance checks.
- Support quasi-legal processes across the property transaction lifecycle, and liaise directly with UK based solicitors and case handlers.
- Review and verify property related documents for accuracy and completeness, and flag discrepancies before they become problems.
- Manage a caseload of multiple files simultaneously, keep trackers current, and ensure every file moves toward its SLA deadline.
- Communicate directly with UK law firm teams and corporate clients regarding case status and requirements.
- Escalate complex legal or procedural issues to senior team members or UK based supervisors.
- Maintain compliance with client SLAs, quality standards, and confidentiality requirements.
Required qualifications
- LLB from a UK university, or a UK-affiliated LLB programme (for example, the University of London or another UK external LLB delivered through a recognised local affiliate). We are unable to consider applicants whose law degree is not from a UK or UK-affiliated institution. This requirement is not flexible.
- Excellent written and spoken English, with the confidence to communicate directly with UK solicitors and clients.
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to work through dense legal and title documentation without letting errors slip through.
- Strong organisational and multitasking ability, capable of managing several files at once against firm deadlines.
- Comfortable working across MS Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Some initial exposure to legal work, such as internships, clerkships, pupillage style attachments, mooting, or a short period in a legal role, is an advantage. Strong early career applicants without this experience are still very welcome.
- Prior experience working remotely with a UK based organisation, even outside property law, is valued. Any UK legal, compliance, or corporate environment provides a genuine feel for UK working culture and remote collaboration, and that experience transfers well here.
- Direct exposure to property law, conveyancing, or legal process outsourcing is a bonus, not a prerequisite.
- Beyond the qualifications above, this role is intended for someone early in their legal career, most likely a recent graduate, possibly with a short internship or two already completed. The ideal candidate wants to build deep, specialised expertise in UK conveyancing over time, rather than test the waters with a fixed term legal placement. Someone who has already spent several years practicing law would likely find this role a step sideways or backward rather than forward, and it has not been designed with that profile in mind.
